On the set of Telethon, Friday, December 2, Henri Sannier has delivered a powerful testimony on his disease.

A beautiful message of hope. The journalist Henry Sannierknown in particular for having presented the JT of France 2 and all sports on France 3, retired in 2017. Nevertheless, he never gave up his passion for sport, which he continued to practice, especially cycling. In December 2020, while he was out on a mountain bike – near his home in the Bay of Somme – he was hit by a vehicle. Very quickly, he recovered from his injuries. But the weeks passed and, “step by step”he realized that he was experiencing “difficulty walking”as he had confided to Tele-Leisure in July 2021. At the same time, he felt “ants in the fingers”. This lasted until paralysis.

Overnight, impossible to walk for the journalist, who developed an autoimmune disease after having contracted a virus. For many months, Henri Sannier – forced to remain in a wheelchair – lived with paralyzed legs and hands. One day, the medical team suggested that she try a new treatment, plasmapheresis. For several hours, his blood was filtered. Finally, last June, he managed to walk again. Friday, December 2, on the set of Telethonhe gave a powerful testimony.
