The liter of SP 95 unleaded gasoline was worth 2.0867 euros on average last week, diesel, 2.1302 euros per litre.
The average price of gasoline sold in French service stations fell slightly last week but still exceeds 2 euros per litre, while diesel remained stable at such a very high level, according to the latest official figures published on Monday.
The liter of SP 95 unleaded gasoline was worth 2.0867 euros on average last week, down 4.23 euro cents compared to the previous one, indicates the Ministry of Energy Transition, which stops these figures on Friday .
The super unleaded 95-E10 reached 2.0365 (-5.01 cents).
On the other hand, diesel, which had rebounded again two weeks ago, was still worth 2.1302 euros per liter on average last week, or barely 0.43 cents less.
This fuel had reached its peak this year at 2.1407 euros in mid-March.
These high prices take into account the government rebate of 18 cents per liter at the pump (in mainland France), scheduled to last until August.
They are part of a context of general soaring energy prices, against a backdrop of post-Covid recovery, the war in Ukraine and supply difficulties.
