Inflation affects all industries, and the small household appliance sector is not spared. We knew that the price of the Thermomix TM6 from Vorwerk was going to increase, it is now done since it is sold 30 € more expensive. Its price thus goes from 1369 € to 1399 €.
Launched in 2019 at €1,299, the Thermomix TM6 is therefore on its second price increase. In September 2020, its manufacturer had already made an increase of €60 in order to standardize the price of the robot on the international market.
Last June, the German group wanted to justify this decision imposed by the global shortage of components. “The costs of the various components of the Thermomix are increasing due to their low availability. For some time now, the Group’s teams in charge of supply have been following market developments very closely and examining the various possibilities. As a family business, we think and act in a long-term context and in the interests of our clients and advisors. It also means that we make appropriate economic decisions in times of rising market and material prices.“, had made known Vorwerk.
It would seem that only the price of the Thermomix is affected by this price increase, the prices of the Thermomix Friend (the robot-companion of the TM6) or the vacuum cleaner-floor scrubber from Kobold (Vorwerk brand) have not changed since their launch.
At €1399, the Thermomix TM6 is therefore now as expensive as its rival, the Cook Expert Premium XL from Magimix.
