The prize pool is already exploding and the marathon continues

ZEVENT 2024 is in full swing and the prize pool has already reached a significant milestone. Things seem to be off to a good start for this highly anticipated new charity event, one of the biggest of the year.

After skipping a year following a rather rocky ZEVENT 2022, Zerator, Dach and over a hundred streamers are back this year.
If there was a concert on September 5th, it is since Friday, September 6th around 6pm, that the French-speaking Twitch scene has been in turmoil. ZEVENT 2024 has been launched. A marathon where video games and good humor are in the spotlight for the benefit of a charity event. This year, the latter focuses on five different associations. The model has changed, but basically, it is the same winning team, and it is already a hit.

ZEVENT 2022 had shattered all records. A concert, more than 50 streamers on site and more than 10 million euros raised, against a backdrop of Twitter drama and a few unfortunate clashes. Zerator had announced it from the start, ZEVENT needed to change its model. And that’s what’s happening today with the 2024 vintage.
More “wise” at the start, the event opened on Thursday evening with a new concert where LittleBigWhale and PV Nova shone again. They were obviously not alone, since several groups followed one another.
Since Friday, it’s been time for games, messing around and stuffing donations.

This year, there are a little over thirty streamers in person. All gathered in a huge decorated room in Montpellier. Zerator, master of ceremonies, is surrounded by his whole gang of friends and more. Antoine Daniel, JDG, AvaMind, HortyUnderscore, Baghera Jones, Tonton, Samuel Etienne, Helydia, and even Etoiles and Domingo. They are all there. Other streamers have also been invited to the party, online, from their own premises or their pad. Some have even set up a small setup for the occasion. This is a first this year: ZEVENT is also taking place online at nearly a hundred partner streamers. You will find the long list on the event website.
Everyone plays and has fun for the five associations that are Les Bureaux du Cœur, Solidarité Paysans, Secours Populaire, Chapitre 2 and Cop1.

And while streamers and viewers are having a lot of fun, donations are already plentiful. While the start is less nervous than in 2022, ZEVENT 2024 has already raised more than 1.1 million euros (€1,131,080 at the time of writing) in just a few hours. A simply enormous score that once again establishes ZEVENT as an important and above all necessary charity event.
