“The pros and cons”: Should cash be eliminated?

Cash is a means of payment that seems increasingly obsolete at a time when electronic payment is made without contact, even with your phone or connected watch. Expensive, impractical, likely to foster the underground economy… cash seems to suffer from all evils. So, let’s dare to ask the question: is it time to eliminate cash?
