Could an announcement around the Xbox streaming box be imminent? In any case, the brand’s boss, Phil Spencer, has just dropped a big potential clue.

Unless he’s just not putting his stuff away…

Phil Spencer’s bookshelf strikes again

Customary of the fact, the boss of the Xbox brand, Phil Spencer, again posted an image of his shelf (this time from his office) rich in “involuntary” information. This time, under the pretext of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the license falloutthe man left lying around what strongly resembles Microsoft’s previously awaited cloud gaming box, codenamed “Keystone”.

Visible at the top of the shelf (where Logitech and Tencent’s cloud console is also located…), the object should normally allow players to enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming compatible games without having to buy a console or a computer. And, for those in doubt, the official Xbox account then tweeted at Phil Spencer: ” What did we say about putting old prototypes on your shelf, boss? “.

What future for the Keystone project?

This small white box is therefore potentially the latest prototype version of the solution developed by Microsoft. For the record, earlier in the year the firm announced that it was canceling its plans to design the Keystone project in this form in order to turn to another approach.

The latest news no longer reports a key / box, but a complete console dedicated to Cloud gaming. It remains to be seen if this shot from the shelf was a small teasing before an announcement of a third Xbox console model, or a simple prank on the part of Phil Spencer. But, since previously its “hidden” objects then led to announcements, it is very likely that we will know more very quickly.
