The PS VR2 will be released on February 22, 2023 for just under 600 euros


The basic pack will therefore include the headset, two PS VR2 Sense controllers and headphones. A charging station for its controllers will also be available for pre-order at the same time, at a price of 49.99 euros, while a pack with Horizon: Call of the Mountain (in digital version) will also be available on the same date for 649.99 euros. It will therefore cost you a good minimum wage to play in virtual reality on PlayStation 5.

Sony also confirmed eleven new titles coming to PS VR2 via PlayStation Blog. Among them, a new episode of the Dark Pictures series called Switchback VR by Supermassive Games, which will build on the stories from previous installments to deliver a rail shooter in the form of a fairground attraction necessarily reminiscent of Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. Also freshly announced is a new episode of Smilegate’s Crossfire series named Sierra Squad and one Hello Neighbor: Search & Rescue which marks the debut of the tinyBuild franchise in VR.

Most of the other titles have already been released (or will be released) on other virtual reality platforms. What includes city building game Cities VR in a retyped version or even the two parts of the adventure/survival game Jurassic World: Aftermath. Let us add that for lack of backward compatibility, The Light Brigade will be available for cross-buy on PS VR and PS VR2, while a free upgrade will be offered to those who already own the PS VR versions of the co-op FPS After the Fallfrom the MMO Zenith: The Last City and the popular Pistol Whip.
