Tesla has just announced the launch of the Cyberquad in France. Before you get too excited, know that this is a child’s toy, not an adult off-road model. Despite everything, you will need to have solid finances to obtain it: the Cyberquad is priced at €1,990.
This Monday, October 16, 2023, Tesla welcomes a new product into its catalog and no, it is still not the Cybertruck… But the Cyberquad. For newbies, it’s an electric quad that sports a design directly inspired by Tesla’s futuristic pickup.
But be careful, don’t plan to go off-road at full speed with this machine. Because, The Cyberquad is a toy for children! As a reminder, the manufacturer presented the Cyberquad for the first time in 2021. The device also made its debut on the American market in 2022, before finally being withdrawn from sale the same year.
According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Cyberquad presented “violations of federal safety standards for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and risk of injury.” Finally, Tesla revised its copy and launched the Cyberquad in other markets, notably in China.
The Cyberquad for children arrives in France
It is now France’s turn to welcome the Cyberquad. As said above, the Cyberquad is intended for children, more precisely elderly between 8 and 12 years maximum. To ensure that adults don’t want to steal the kid’s toy, the driver’s weight limit has been set at 68 kg. The four-wheeler weighs 55 kg.
Of course, performance has also been reduced to minimize the risk of injury for young users. So, the electric quad displays two speed modesthe first allowing you to go to 6 km/h and the other to 13 km/h.
On the autonomy side, Tesla ensures that the Cyberquad will be able to travel 19km before having to go through the recharge box. On this point, the machine is equipped with a battery 24 V lithium-ion for a power of 188 Wh. As for the engine, it displays a power of 350W. As you will have noticed in the photos provided by the manufacturer, the Cyberquad is strongly reminiscent of the Cybertruck:

The price will chill the parents
A mini-Cybertruck in short. Let’s add that the Cyberquad has a few extra features, such as a rear suspension with disc brakes and a padded seat. And if its dimensions are rather compact (116 x 64 x 70 cm), this is not really the case for its price: €1,990. Suffice to say that you will have to be extremely wise to hope to see the Cyberquad under the tree… Note that The Cyberquad is now available on the official Tesla store.
