RTL reacts again to the current corona crisis and puts on a new show: From Monday, March 23, the broadcaster will be broadcasting the one-hour live broadcast "The quarantine flat share – Welcome home!" out. In it, Oliver Pocher (42), Thomas Gottschalk (69) and Günther Jauch (63), who are sick with Covid-19, will found a virtual flat-sharing community and at the same time exchange information about the current situation in an "informative, serious and funny" manner via video chat .

A prominent surprise guest is also added to each broadcast. TV viewers can ask questions on social media under the hashtag # QuarantäneWG, which the prominent WG tries to answer. "People have to stick together because they are not together. Millions therefore communicate primarily digitally with one another. This is how the idea of ​​a 'quarantine flat share' came about," Günther Jauch explains in an RTL announcement.

"Although it is clear to me that during the casting my name was 'representative of the risk group', I am looking forward to this TV experiment," jokes Thomas Gottschalk about his new role. "No one in our shared apartment really fits each other, but we all have the same problem. We have to deal with it as our viewers and we don't know how to do it." As a Corona patient, he knows what it means to sit at home bored, adds Oliver Pocher. Therefore, he is looking forward to the quarantine flat share.
