Developed by the creators of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Supermassive Games, The Quarry game was recently rated on the ESRB site. Indeed, the software has suffered the mention “Mature”. Which means it is addressed players over the age of 17.
Moreover, the site references several facts that may shock the youngest. Above all, let’s remember that The Quarry will have scenes deemed gory and which can represent intense violence. In addition, the title of Supermassive Games will address themes related to sexuality and certain lines of dialogue will contain insults.
As a reminder, previous titles from Supermassive Games, such as The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan and Until Dawn, to cite only these two examples, had also been given the “Mature” classification. Which corresponds to a PEGI 18 for Until Dawn and a PEGI 16 for Man of Medan, in our green regions.
The Quarry will have a new game mechanic, in addition to a certain replayability due to its different storyline branches and endings. The title, judged as spiritual successor of Until Dawn, must land the June 10 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC.
