Until now, we knew Asko for its washing machines, built-in ovens and dishwashers. The Swedish manufacturer, however, has another string to its bow: refrigerators. Following the brand’s DNA, these are high-end devices packed with technology. The R31842I, for example, benefits from adaptive temperature control, a system that remembers when the doors opened during the past week.

Thanks to the data collected, the cold system lowers the temperature to avoid excessive heating when opening. Note that its duration is also taken into account and that the R31842I knows when the shopping is stored. The appliance then adapts its operation to best accommodate the food just purchased.

The R31842I is not a handset. Behind its single door, there is only a positive cold zone with a volume of 300 l, therefore without a freezer. It is for this reason that the manufacturer chose a mixed cold, not devoid of humidity. Food is then better preserved since it does not dry out. Of course, to further extend the life of fruits and vegetables, there are two special bins at the bottom of the enclosure, in which the humidity level is maintained between 85 and 90%.

Above the vegetable drawers, a Dura Fresh drawer has been designed for storing very fragile products such as meat and fish. In this special zone, the temperature is controlled very finely. So we can get as close as possible to a temperature of 0°C, without going below it, to preserve fragile meat or vegetables without the risk of freezing the water they contain and damaging their visual, taste and nutritional qualities. Please note, however, that Asko has provided a temperature of up to -2°C in this drawer for storing fish and shellfish.

To further emphasize the premium side of its R31842I, Asko has provided a beech shelf that the user can remove from its location for service. This material is very rare in the world of refrigerators, but the Swedish manufacturer is not satisfied with just one shelf. The bottle rack, the egg rack and a serving tray are also made of wood.
