Now on Disney +, you'll see a warning sign at the start of many cult movies. Rather than removing this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful influence in order to learn from it and engage in dialogue to build a more inclusive future. together. Disney is committed to creating inspiring and ambitious stories that reflect human diversity. "

Indeed, some films of our childhood have taken a serious blow of old! Peter Pan, The Lady and the Tramp, Dumbo… Many are the Disney feature films featuring terrible racist stereotypes which, at the time of the films' release, seemed acceptable to some audiences. Peter Pan, for example, shows a distorted image of the native peoples of North America. We can also take the example of the cartoon The Aristocats, which conveys every imaginable cliché about Asian cultures, through the character of a Siamese cat. Like The Lady and the Tramp… Disney therefore prefers to accept its mistakes and raise awareness, in order to better fight against discrimination.
