The radar jammer in Warzone is too powerful

Raven Software reduced the loot rate of Radar Jammers in the Season 3 update, but Warzone players are still not happy with this terrain improvement “overpowered”.

The Radar Jammer terrain upgrade was introduced to Warzone in the Season 3 Reloaded update.

Radar Jammers jam players’ minimaps for 45 seconds and have a 125 meter radius. Players within this radius cannot use Killstreaks, heartbeat sensors, see the circle, or ping their teammates while downed.

The Warzone developers reduced the drop chance of radar jammers in Rebirth Resurgence during Season 3 Reloaded, and the Season 4 patch notes confirm that the drop chance of radar jammers has also been reduced in Good Fortune.

Some Warzone players still think the Radar Jammers drop rate is too high and the 125 meter radius or drop rate needs to be adjusted.

Radar Jammers have had mixed reception from players.

Warzone players are not happy with radar jammers

Reddit user BewareDinosaurs created a thread and said: “Radar jammers are interesting, but there are far too many of them. It would be better if they were rarer instead of me ignoring the mini-map most of the time.”

The thread received hundreds of likes and a number of players responded expressing similar frustrations.

A user said: “They shouldn’t be in the game. It’s been completely confusing everyone in the massive radius for far too long. You can’t see the gas line, zone direction, teammates and buy stations.”

Another person said that “the radius must be small. On Rebirth Island, a Jammer blocks a quarter of the map.”

The radar jammer covers the blue area seen in the tweet above and it removes an entire corner of the Rebirth Island map.

It’s still too early to tell about its effect on Good Fortune in Warzone, so time will tell if the Radar Jammer becomes an even bigger issue with the new map.
