Today, the blogger is going to teach us how to make at home the chicken avocado My Kitchenette & Cie By Aicha style. A gourmet recipe that she had already shared with her followers long before the sandwich was released by American fast food!

The ingredients to make the recipe for chicken avocado by Aicha

Ingredients for 6 burger buns:

  • 250g of flour
  • 5.5 g dry baker's yeast
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 20g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 40 g of soft butter

The ingredients for the crispy chicken:

  • 6 chicken fillets
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of chilli powder (or paprika)
  • salt pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • flour
  • tortilla chips

The ingredients for the sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of sriracha sauce (Thai hot sauce available in supermarkets)
  • 1 tbsp crispy onions

The ingredients for the avocado puree:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • salt pepper
  • 1 pinch of red hot pepper powder (or paprika)

The ingredients for the assembly:

  • 12 slices of cheddar
  • 12 tomato slices
  • Red cabbage

Preparation steps of chicken avocado by Aicha

Burger buns

1. Dilute the yeast in 3 tablespoons of lukewarm water with a pinch of sugar. Let rise for 10 minutes.

2. In the food processor bowl, combine the flour, salt and sugar.

3. Then add the diluted yeast and start kneading gently. Add the soft butter.

4. Gradually add the warm milk (stop pouring the liquid as soon as the dough sets), then let the food processor knead the dough for 10 to 15 minutes. You should obtain a very smooth and very flexible dough, but not sticky. Add a little flour if it does.

5. Remove the dough from the food processor and form a ball with the dough.

6. Lightly flour a salad bowl then place the dough ball.

7. Cover the dough with a tea towel, then place a plastic bag on the bowl (this will retain the heat and therefore help the growth). Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a dry, non-humid place, without drafts (preferably in a warm place) until it doubles in size.

8. Degass the dough by flattening it slightly then divide it into 6 balls. Form beautiful, slightly flattened burger bun balls.

9. Cover a baking sheet with baking paper then place the pasta balls on the baking sheet, making sure to space them well.

10. Cover with a tea towel again and let it rise for 45 minutes.

11. Mix 1 egg yolk with 1 teaspoon of milk.

12. Brush the tops of the balls with this mixture and sprinkle them with sesame seeds.

13. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C rotating heat for about 15 minutes.

14. Take out of the oven, cover them with a tea towel (the bread will be even softer), then let cool well.

The crispy chicken:

1. In a bowl, mix the chicken fillets with: yogurt, lemon juice, chili, salt and pepper. Marinate for at least 2 hours in the fridge.

2. Crumble or coarsely mix the chips. Prepare 3 bowls: flour, beaten eggs and chips.

3. Dip the chicken in turn in the flour, then in the eggs and finally in the chips.

4. Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet lined with a sheet of parchment paper.

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° C for 20 to 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked.

The sauce :

1. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce and the tablespoon of crispy onions. Keep the sauce cool.

Avocado puree:

1. Cut the avocado in half, peel and remove the pit.

2. Roughly mash the flesh of the avocado with a fork (pieces should remain) then add the lemon juice and a pinch of chili. Add salt and pepper.

McDonald's-style assembly:

1. Cut the burger buns in half, then spread the 2 surfaces with sauce.

2. Arrange on the bottom loaf in order:

  • a slice of cheddar cheese,
  • crispy chicken,
  • a second slice of cheddar cheese,
  • two slices of tomatoes,
  • red cabbage,
  • mashed avocado.

Then close with the top loaf.

For the chicken avocado bacon version, add 3 slices of smoked bacon just before the tomatoes.
