Realme announces the launch in France of the Realme 9 4G and 5G, thus completing a series inaugurated by a 9 Pro+ model. The two smartphones, despite their identical name, have very different technical data sheets.
After the Realme 9 Pro+, the “very short” Realme 9 series is finally showing up. The Chinese brand, now number 5 on the French market, offers its encrypted smartphone in 4G and 5G versions. Two models that share the same name, but differ in their technical specifications.
The Realme 9 4G thus has a 6.4-inch Super Amoled screen displaying Full HD + up to 90 Hz. It hides under its hood 160.2 x 73.3 x 7.99 mm (178 grams) a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip, flanked by 6-8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (with microSD). The smartphone is also powered by a 5000 mAh battery compatible with 33 W charging. On the photo side, it relies on Samsung’s Isocell HM6 sensor (108 megapixels), this main module being accompanied by an ultra wide-angle of 8 megapixels and a 2 megapixel macro module.
The Realme 9 5G is very different, if only for its format: it measures 164.3 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm for 191 grams and includes a 6.6-inch screen. The Amoled is here replaced by LCD technology, but with a refresh rate increased to 120 Hz. Under its hood, this 5G model hides a Snapdragon 695 accompanied by 6 GB of RAM (64 GB of storage), but also a battery of 5000 mAh being satisfied this time with a charge at 18 W. The photo unit of the device is also revised downwards, Realme offering a main module of 50 megapixels accompanied by two modules of 2 megapixels each, for macro and depth measurement.
Better equipped than the Realme 9 5G, but without the connectivity of its brother, the Realme 9 4G is announced at €279.99 (6/128 GB) and €299.99 (8/128 GB). The 5G version of the device is slightly cheaper, at €259.99 (4/64GB). If the 5G model is to be marketed today, its 4G counterpart is expected from May 17 on the French market.
