The Realme Pad X tablet will be presented on May 26

Realme has every intention of making a name for itself in the affordable tablet market. After the particularly inexpensive Realme Pad and Pad Mini, the Chinese firm will present its new Realme Pad X on May 26 in China at 2 p.m. (local time). This is what the official website of the brand says.

The complete technical sheet of the slate has not yet been officially communicated, but we can expect more ambitious characteristics than on the two previous models. The tablet has a fairly classic design and the photo island on the back is slightly reminiscent of the one that can be found on the recent Xiaomi 12. Three colors should be available: gray, blue and a “neon” green matched with checkered decor reminiscent of a racing flag.

Real upgrade

Realme has announced that the Pad X will be powered by a Snapdragon 870. It could therefore be the brand’s first tablet to support 5G. Versions only 4G and wifi are nevertheless planned.

For the rest, we can expect an LCD panel in QHD + definition and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Autonomy could be ensured by a generous 8360 mAh battery, which should give it good endurance.

No information has filtered concerning the composed photo part a priori from a single back sensor. On the pictures, we can simply observe the mention IA and the absence of a led flash.

The price has not yet been officially communicated, but the firm has accustomed us to being aggressive. We can therefore expect it to start around 300/350 €. A price segment notably occupied by the formidable Xiaomi Pad 5, to which the Pad X therefore risks competing.
