The French will be able to take advantage of the aid for the purchase of fuel. The discount of 18 euro cents per liter remains in effect until the end of the summer.

The rebate on the price of fuel could well go from 18 30 cents including tax from the month of September, following the outcome of the debates on the purchasing power bill. In the meantime, the current aid system for the benefit of consumers, in force since April 1, 2022, is extended until August 31.

This weekend, a decree was published in Official newspaper concerning the aid scheme for the benefit of fuel consumers. The amount of aid provided, 15 cents excluding tax or 18 cents including tax, does not change. The measure is also extended until the end of August.

The amounts excluding taxes allocated until August 31, 2022

  • 15 euro cents/L for diesel, petrol and liquefied petroleum gas (i.e. 29.13/100kg net for liquefied petroleum gas)
  • 15 euro cents/MWh for natural gas (i.e. 21 cents/kg)

In addition, service stations will also benefit until August 31 from the advance device. The deadline for reimbursement of the advance granted to operators of certain service stations has been postponed to 16 October.

30 cents discount in September and October
