This quick and easy dessert is best enjoyed in the fall. The vanilla butter will coat the fruits and reveal their tangy flavors.

Ingredients for 4 persons

  • 3 apples
  • 3 ripe pears
  • 100 g of butter at room temperature
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of blond sugar

Preparation: 10 minutes.
Cooking: 20 minutes.

Peel the fruit, remove the hearts and seeds and cut each fruit into eight. Split the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and collect the small black seeds with the tip of a sharp knife.

Prepare the softened butter with the vanilla seeds and sugar. Work all the ingredients with a fork until the texture is soft.

Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the fruit, and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until they brown and lightly stew.

Serve hot with whipped cream.
