The Red Bracelets: we loved the new version of the series presented in preview at Series Mania

“Les Bracelets rouges” will soon return to TF1 for a season 4 in the form of a reboot entitled “Les Bracelets rouges, new generation”, which features new teenagers. We saw the first episodes at Series Mania and it’s a big yes!

Forget Thomas, Clément, Roxane, Mehdi and Côme, and get ready to fall under the spell of Benji, Gabriel, Zoé, Emma, Nathan and César, the new band of teenagers from the series Les Bracelets rouges, who will make their mark back in the coming weeks on TF1.

Entitled The Red Bracelets: New Generation, this fourth season in the form of a reboot, which thus arrives three years after the broadcast of season 3, marks the beginning of a new era for fiction freely inspired by the life of Albert Espinosa and of the Spanish Polseres vermelles format.

Admittedly, the hospital is the same, and part of the nursing staff is back (in particular the characters camped by Lionel Abelanski, Guilaine Londez, Juliette Lamboley, Diouc Koma and Emilie Gavois-Kahn).

But these are ultimately the only links that remain between the two versions since Les Bracelets rouges: new generation, presented in preview at Series Mania this Wednesday, March 22, introduces a group of completely renewed sick teenagers, whose hospitable and intimate journey is told with as much accuracy and depth as ever, between dramas, rage to live, disillusions, friendships, and emerging love stories.

Esther Blanc (Zoé), Kali Boisson (Emma), Noé Wodecki (Gabriel) and Noah Deric (Nathan) in Les Bracelets rouges, new generation.

First there is Benji (Léo Lorleac’h), who suffers from a degenerative disease and hopes to finally fall in love, while his condition is unfortunately not improving. Gabriel (Noé Wodecki), his best friend, is in a wheelchair following a terrible car accident. While Zoé (Esther Blanc), the sister of a young intern camped by Michaël Gregorio, discovers that her broken arm hides something more serious.

A central trio that is completed by Emma (Kali Boisson), a teenager who is waiting for the results of her mother’s analysis to obtain a kidney transplant and leave the hospital for good. And Nathan (Noah Deric), admitted to the emergency room after a surfing accident. And who is no stranger to Gabriel who will have to share his room with the one he would have liked never to see again.

Presented in preview this Wednesday, March 22 at Series Mania, the first two episodes already impose this new generation as a real great success. We immediately fall under the spell of Benji, Gabriel, Emma and the others, whose group dynamics are somewhat different from what we saw in the first three seasons.

Always so touching and overwhelming – especially when it comes to the contrast between the hope of most heroes to get out of it and the daily life of Benji, who no longer really has hope – Les Bracelets rouges , new generation also amazes with its real pretty moments of comedy.

And by the will of the screenwriters Cécile Berger, Solenn Le Priol, Pascal Fontanille, Winnie Vatimbella and Alexandre Manneville to go where the series had not yet gone before, by dealing in particular with the harassment suffered by Gabriel high school, the only gay character in the strip. A terrible ordeal that will unfortunately pursue him to the hospital.

Once the viewing of the series is over, we realize with happiness that we have never missed the old characters – without obviously taking anything away from the many qualities of seasons 1 to 3 – and that the characters of the parents, perfectly interpreted by Samira Lachhab ( Tomorrow belongs to us), Emilie Caen (What have we done to God?), Yannig Samot (Balthazar) or Nadège Beausson-Diagne (More beautiful life), never steal the show from teenagers who are the true beating heart of this new generation.

Six young actors, Léo Lorleac’h, Noé Wodecki, Kali Boisson, Esther Blanc, Noah Deric (Un Si Grand Soleil) and Maxime Pipet (alias César, who will gradually get closer to Zoé and the group), who make sparks and which already seem to have a bright future. In short, this new version of the Red Bracelets really has it all.
