Dysney+ offers us a superb gem this week from one of the best animation studios of recent years. We are obviously talking about Pixar which has prepared a little treat for us for the start of 2024.
For this new week, Disney+ is playing coy. More in any case than Netflix or even Prime Video. On the other hand, the platform is serving us something new this week that will do a lot of good. We will also be entitled to some films like Suncoast with Nico Parker (The Last of Us) and Woody Harrelson (Hunger Games, Zombieland), or Spectacular turn of eventsa somewhat light-hearted detective film, with a 5-star cast including Sam Rockwell (The Richard Jewell Case), Saoirse Ronan (The Daughters of Doctor March) or even Adrien Brody (King Kong, Predators). So the month is shaping up to be very nice.

But for the moment this week on Disney+, we can only count on Yourself to entertain us. The famous Pixar studio, to which we owe countless animated masterpieces, here serves us a short film that is as short as it is ambitious. A real nugget, Yourself tells us the story of a little wooden doll who will search and discover herself. A simple and intimate story.
If YourselfOr Self in English, gets people talking, it’s mainly because it has a very particular visual touch. The short film will mix two animation techniques. 3D, which has now become the standard in the industry, and stop-motion, a technique which consists of filming each movement frame by frame, thus offering an atypical animation. Chicken Run or Wallace & Gromit are the most famous examples of stop-motion films.
