Netflix is still adding a slew of new releases this week, but it’s much leaner than at the start of the month. There is still a film that stands out from the rest since it is rather anticipated by Demon Slayer fans, and also some nice comedies to relax in.
Like every week, SVOD platforms like Netflix, Disney+ or even Prime Video and Max add a whole bunch of new features to their catalog. As we enter the third week of June, with a rainy start to summer in our sights, Netflix is stocking up on new programs, but clearly not as notable as the previous weeks.
It must be said that at the beginning of June on Netflix, it was still very busy with a lot of killer animals from elsewhere in the suffocating 47 Meters Down, the assumed nanar Under the Seine or even the delirious and ultra effective Cocaine Bear (Crazy Bear). We also had action with the trilogy Taken worn by Liam Neeson and the anime with the excellent One Piece Red And Baki Hanma vs Kengan Ashuraa clash of the titans.
Netflix films from June 17 to 23
For this week, we’re slowing down a bit, but we still have a lot to get our teeth into. First of all comedy with Legacy, a kind of life-size Cluedo where we follow a family group ready to do anything to solve the mysteries of an old building in order to get their hands on the inheritance of their deceased uncle. We will also be treated to French humor with Dad or Mom 1 & 2a series of light films with Marina Foïs (Furies) and Laurent Lafitte (Far from the Periph). Finally, the biggest expectation of this week is certainly Demon Slayer: Blacksmith Village, a film very popular with manga lovers. Fans who follow the anime on Netflix will be in heaven with this new release, which has already been available on Crunchyroll for a while now.

Series and documentaries expected from June 17 to 23
On the series side, not much unfortunately, mainly episodic documentaries including America’s Sweethearts Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders which, as the name suggests, follows the cheerleading journey from auditions to competitions. Otherwise, there is a bit of anime with Rising Impact or the Spanish drama on drug trafficking in The Coke Clans. It certainly won’t be the new House of Paperbut it should please fans of suspense series anchored in reality.
