Netflix is releasing releases once again this week with the sequel to one of the biggest films of 2023. A highly anticipated sequel but which is also receiving a lot of criticism.
Like every week, Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ release a series of releases. Movies, series, shows, whatever, there’s always fresh blood and something to satisfy almost everyone. Fortunately insofar as the increases continue to multiply, as evidenced recently with Prime Video.
This week on Netflix in any case, there will be lots of people. No big series to get your teeth into, but quite a few films including the sequel to one of the biggest releases of last year.
Netflix movies of the week
Netflix doesn’t just make successful series, there are also a lot of films on the platform and the SVOD giant does not hesitate to invest. It is also with a director as appreciated as he is hated that the firm has done business for several films, Zack Snyder, the one and only. The filmmaker has made a lot of talk about him with his saga Rebel Moon, a pumped-up, explosive, slow-motion science fiction film series. The first part of the Netflix version was released last year and although it was successful on the platform, the reviews are much more mixed. That won’t stop Snyder from releasing his famous Snyder’s Cut shortly, a feature film “without Netflix censorship” which will last several hours and land… on Netflix. Who said marketing? Part 2 of the so-called censored version will arrive this week. Rebel Moon Part 2: The Slasher will have a lot to do to straighten out the house and give real meaning to this dusty space epic.
Other feature films are of course expected, such as Anna Karérinne, inspired by a Russian story with Keira Knightley, Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, or the immense cinema classic The Godfather, available today from elsewhere.

All the Netflix series of the week
On the series side, Netflix is playing coy this week. After drawing Parasyte Recently, the platform calmed down a little and this week is content with two programs. The Grimm Variations is an anime series inspired by the tales of the Brothers Grimm. The fables are much darker than usual and should surprise more than one person. The second series is Israeli, Like Two Brothers will tell us the journey strewn with pitfalls of two best friends who seek to reach Krakow to see a very important football match… for them. It’s meager, but it’s all we have this week.

Documentaries and shows of the week
Finally, a few reality TV shows bring up the rear. Bad player will pit several candidates against each other in a game with… very specific rules while The Circle Gamea big Netflix success, will be entitled to its season 6. Finally, it’s Our Living World who will bring up the rear. A documentary that benefits from stunning aesthetics and will allow us to explore intelligence, ingenuity and the interconnected nature of life, fauna and flora. In short, nature with a capital N. The icing on the cake is that the whole thing is narrated by Cate Blanchett.
