The big-eared firm is in turn starting another year with the new Disney+ releases from January 2024. But before that, what were the latest releases not to be missed on the service? For the last week of December 2023, the platform offered the remaining six episodes of What… If? season 2. The animated show that explores the MCU and its multiverse in another way. The live-action series Percy Jackson and the Olympians also continued its journey with the addition of the third episode, like Undead Unluck. An anime more aimed at an informed audience.

The new film releases on Disney+ from January 1 to 7, 2024 will be conspicuous… by their absence! While six opuses of Spider-Man, Thor Love and Thunder or Paddington were added last month, it’s dead calm for this week. No feature film is there to expand the catalog unfortunately. On the other hand, if you don’t know what to watch, you can turn to the “In the Featured” section which brings together some of the big, important films for young and old. In this Disney+ ranking, we also find feature films like The Last Duel by Ridley Scott, Titanic and Avatar by James Cameron, Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back, but also animation. Buzz Lightyear and Encanto: The Fantastic Madrigal Family were among the more recent additions. And in case you still don’t have it, The Simpsons Movie is still accessible.

Conversely, Disney+ series arrive from January 1 to 7 in relatively large numbers. Like the last few days, you will find your weekly episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the event program launched a few weeks ago. In episode 3, currently available, the demigod went in search of Zeus’ original lightning to stem a war between the gods. Undead Unluck, the adaptation of the manga of the same name, also returns with a high-tension episode 4 since a fight should break out between Gina, Andy and Fûko. But there are also real new features still unavailable on the platform.

FBI Promotion 2009 arrives on Disney+ this Wednesday, January 3, 2024. The series follows the destiny of several FBI agents across three timelines over 30 years, who will meet again after the death of one of their colleagues. A television show that addresses questions of justice, humanity and the choices made that influence our lives. At the same time, the service will release the animated series Ishura.

In terms of new docs and shows, Disney+ will rest this week on Betrayal: The Perfect Husband. A documentary series about a woman, Jen Herron, who thought she had found the ideal husband. But that was until the latter’s arrest for sexual assault on one of his students. A sordid double life explained through real testimonies and fictional sequences which reconstruct the facts.

This Wednesday, January 3, you can also continue to follow the BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star report. In the last two episodes, we saw the group sticking together as they tried to be full-fledged artists on stage, and overcome the COVID-19 pandemic with the shutdown of their concerts.
