Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP has finally been revealed and it’s a cold shower. A disappointment for the players when the game has not been released, it hurts.
Firmly awaited by early fans since its announcement, the big return of Lollipop Chainsaw should not take long. The game is expected on September 25 on PS5, Xbox Series, but also on PC and Switch and finally presented himself on video. If lovers of this crazy game had high expectations, it’s because we sold them a dream. But there, it’s a cold shower, freezing even.

A few months before its release, the one we now call Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was revealed with a first gameplay trailer and it hurts.
Basically, the game was released in 2012. Headed by the Grasshopper studio and by the crazy Suda51, helped by director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), the game offers a thrilling and hilarious adventure. We play Juliet, an ultra sexy and sexualized cheerleader who, incidentally, is also part of a family of zombie killers. So, when the great zombie lords decide to invade her town, she arms herself with her chainsaw and goes to clean up.
At the time, what hit the mark was not only its sassy heroine, but also the ambient fun that emanated from the game everywhere and all the time. Rather cinematic, close to comics, Lollipop Chainsaw is a small success with players. Enough in any case for some of the original creators to announce the arrival of a remake. A remake which will ultimately be a remaster.
…and it’s already a huge disappointment for the fans
Already at the time the game was not a technical gem, whether in terms of graphics or animation, but the gameplay trailer reveals to us that nothing has changed. It’s clearer, yes, but we can already see that the modeling is outdated and that the textures are not up to standard at all.
An ice bath that the players have taken in the face and are already starting to criticize. If the nostalgia and guilty pleasure of finding this very atypical game are there, the reality is that it really hurts just in video. So controller in hand, we’re already sweating… let’s see!
