The bricks of the Re-Factory, Renault’s center dedicated to the circular economy, are beginning to be assembled on its historic site in Flins (Yvelines). After the opening in December of the used car reconditioning activity, Renault has just inaugurated on Tuesday a mini-factory dedicated to the hydrogen ecosystem. This technology is relevant for utility vehicles that can carry large hydrogen tanks converted into electricity using a fuel cell. In a building of 3000 m2freshly painted white and lit with a bluish light, Renault and its American partner Plug Power, a hydrogen pioneer in the United States, are ready to produce and test their first fuel cells.
