No more booking system for Valve. Steam Deck production has improved greatly throughout the year to catch up with demand so far. Now, the console is available for immediate order from the manufacturer on Steam.

As a reminder, this portable console resembling the Nintendo Switch hides a real gaming PC under Steam OS. If we were not really convinced by this first version, it is all the same an excellent little machine for playing Steam on the move.

Shipping within 15 days.

It is therefore possible to place an order now from Steam for one of the three Steam Deck models and Valve indicates an estimated shipping date of 1 or 2 weeks. Manufacturing is still just-in-time, but customers are now billed per order with the assurance of receiving a console quickly.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that we have satisfied all pending reservations with the dispatch of today’s batch of emails. So you can order Steam Deck now!

Since the launch of the console, Valve had put a queuing and reservation system in place to ensure the availability of machines on a drop-by-drop basis.

The docking station is here

Like the Nintendo Switch, Valve has provided a docking station for its game console. It includes 3 USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a USB-C power port, DisplayPort, HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet. After a year of waiting, it is now possible to order the official docking station for 99 euros.

As Valve specifies, it is of course still possible to go through unofficial and cheaper stations.
