the resource ceiling for complementary solidarity health insurance is raised

Good news! Since Monday, April 1, the income ceiling to benefit from Complementary Health Solidarity (CSS) free of charge has been raised. It goes from 9179 euros to 10166 euros of annual income for a single person.

The resource ceiling not to be exceeded to benefit from the Complementary Health Solidarity (CSS) is increasing again this year. From now on we must not exceed 10166 euros of annual income (compared to 9719 euros previously) for a single person, to benefit free of the complement, according to decree published in Official newspaper on March 26.

Ceilings in force until March 31, 2023

This new ceiling has been in effect since Monday, April 1. Until March 31, 2025, the ceiling of the Solidarity Health Supplement will therefore be 847 euros per month for a single person and 1271 euros for a couple. For CSS with financial participationless than 1 euro per day and per person, the monthly ceiling is 1144 euros for a single person (i.e. 13724 euros per year) and 1715 euros for a couple (i.e. 20586 euros per year).

The CSS considers as resources all cash receipts (cash, check, bank transfer) received by your household (including you) over the last 12 months, in France and abroad, recalls the supplement on its website.

Furthermore, for the APL beneficiariesA accommodation package is added to income only if the amount of the housing allowance is greater than the amount of the package. Otherwise, it is the actual amount which is taken into account, adds the CSS.
