The return of a great classic is finally confirmed on PlayStation 5, but it will perhaps disappoint some fans who were already expecting a project of a completely different scale.

A disturbing classic returning to PlayStation 5 very soon

We have the end of the story regarding the comeback of a classic on PlayStation 5. Since at least last year, speculation has been rife about the return of Forbidden Siren, the horror game created by Keiichiro Toyama (Silent Hill, Gravity Rush). And these are not simple fantasies since the brand has been spotted on several occasions, notably during the sale of the original soundtrack for the 20th anniversary of the first episode. Recently, the Korean classification body was tasked with rating survival horror and we have just discovered the reason.

Forbidden Siren will be released on PlayStation 5 in Korea and visibly around the world. Until now, the version available on the PlayStation Store was the PS4 edition. A port of the PS2 game priced at €9.99 and which can be played at no extra cost for all PS Plus Premium subscribers.

So what will this return of Forbidden Siren change? Well, not much really, except that it will be an official launch on PlayStation 5 in more territories a priori. The description is also very similar to the current one and mentions a “improved rendering and trophies”. For those who were thinking about a more in-depth remaster, a remake or even a surprise new game, this will surely be a bit of a cold shower.
