The Rings of Power on Prime Video: the main actress of the series did not know which role she auditioned for

In an interview with Variety, actress Morfydd Clark revealed that she fainted when she learned that she was going to play the elf queen Galadriel in the series “The Rings of Power”, which will be broadcast soon on Amazon Prime Video.

In a few days, Morfydd Clark’s name will be known to all. The 33-year-old Welsh actress was indeed chosen to play Galadriel in the series The Rings of Power, whose action takes place several millennia before the plot of the Lord of the Rings. However, the latter had no idea of the role for which she was auditioning, as she revealed to our colleagues from variety :

“I knew I was auditioning for the role of an elf, but I didn’t know which one. My sister and I tried to find the identity of the character, but I never imagined it could be of Galadriel” commented with humor on the latter, adding that she passed out shortly after learning that she had landed the role.

In addition to the prestige of the role, Morfydd Clark will also have the heavy task of succeeding Cate Blanchett, the interpreter of Galadriel in the trilogies of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings signed Peter Jackson. A huge fan of the cinematographic license, the young actress nevertheless did not dare to contact her eldest to discuss the role.

Never mind, this new version of Galadriel – younger and more warlike than that of the films – can be discovered in the series The Rings of Power, broadcast on the Amazon Prime Video platform from September 2!
