The RN, an anti-Semitic party for Oliver Véran: “We have no lessons to learn”, judges Louis Aliot

The National Rally responded favorably to the call from Gérard Larcher, president of the Senate, and Yaël Braun-Pivet, president of the National Assembly. The latter wish to organize, next Sunday, a major march against anti-Semitism.

But in the National Assembly, the invectives between the government and Marine Le Pen’s party have resumed with a vengeance. “You point out (anti-Semitism, editor’s note) from the extreme left, I’m going to point you out. You, you are the party of the flame. There is no good and bad anti-Semitism. There is only “anti-Semitism,” government spokesperson Olivier Véran raged in front of the deputies. Before recalling that the founder of the National Front (the former name of the National Rally, editor’s note), had been condemned by the courts for his comments on the gas chambers used to kill Jews during the Second World War.

“The RN is not an anti-Semitic party”

Questioned this Wednesday morning during La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews, the RN mayor of Perpignan, Louis Aliot, believes that his party has “no lessons to receive”, in particular “from a former socialist”. “Certainly, Mr. Le Pen was convicted, but he is a ward of the nation. He is a patriot of France, he was a soldier. I broke up with him because of his totally unspeakable remarks. But he “the fact remains that Mr. Véran himself, he served faithfully and slavishly a man of Vichy, a man decorated with the Francisque”, replies the elected representative of the National Rally, referring to the past of François Mitterrand.

“I don’t forgive that,” continues the First Vice-President of the RN. “The Socialist Party was financed by René Bousquet, the one who carried out the deportation of the Vél’ d’Hiv’, etc. So, we have no lessons to learn,” believes Louis Aliot, adding firmly that “the Rally National is not an anti-Semitic party. Today it fights anti-Semitism and in particular the most important one, Islamism,” he concludes.
