It took almost a decade forUbisoft restart the machine Prince of Persia and now that it’s launched, it won’t stop. Besides the remake of The Sands of Time with complicated development following poor reception when it was announced, we were therefore able to discover the excellent metroidvania Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown developped by Ubisoft Montpellier, which will continue to receive content throughout the year. However, a third game in the license has been in development for a while, some details of which unfortunately recently leaked before its announcement this Wednesday evening. Yes, the people of BordeauxEvil Empire are well behind a game called simply The Rogue Prince of Persiawhich we had the chance to test recently and of which you can find our impressions via the link at the end of the article.
Developers known for DLC of roguevania Dead Cellswhich has reached the end of its life with a situation behind the scenes apparently far from being calmed, are now focusing on a variation of the licenseUbisoft taking up the codes of their previous title, i.e. of roguelite with separate procedurally generated areas at each runincorporating elements of metroivania and a classic platformer typical of Prince of Persia what is wall running. For the record, the conversation between the publisher and the studio began in 2021, as marketing manager Matthew Houghton explained during a presentation before we could play. The new prince will have to face the Huns, a story element linked to time justifying starting again and again when we die.
As for Dead Cellsthe launch will take place initially in Early Access on PC via Steam and this from next month, Tuesday May 14, 2024. Console players, rest assured, we have had confirmation that Switch versions, PlayStation And Xbox are planned, without further details, then everyone should end up being entitled to it as with its predecessor. Content will be added gradually, the objective being to deliver a quality product from the start, which seems to us to be the case. The artistic direction, however, risks dividing, but we can only advise you to give it a chance, or to rush headlong if you like Dead Cells.
And if you want to discover the latter, Dead Cells Return to Castlevania Edition is currently sold from €31.50 on Amazon.
