The strike of screenwriters and actors, which paralyzed Hollywood for many months and which finally ended last week, in fact delayed the decision of the channel, which therefore finally chose to stop the fees and end at The Rookie: Feds.
Launched in September 2022, The Rookie: Feds, which was the only one-hour series carried by a black actress, did not experience the success hoped for by ABC, which expected to reproduce the success of The Rookie.

Still unpublished in France, The Rookie: Feds follows Simone Clark (played by Niecy Nash), a former guidance counselor who decides to realize her dreams by becoming an FBI agent, which makes her the oldest recruit in the ‘agency.

This is not the only spin-off of the channel to suffer the strike since last week, ABC announced that The Good Lawyer, the spin-off series of The Good Doctor, would ultimately not see the light of day.
Created by Alexi Hawley, who was also at the helm of The Rookie: Feds, The Rookie remains, even after 5 seasons, one of ABC’s sure values. It has also been renewed for a season 6 which, as with all other American fiction, should be shortened by half.
The Rookie is broadcast in France on M6. For the moment, seasons 4 and 5 are still unreleased.
