Warning, spoilers for episode 2, season 6 of “The Rookie”: “The Rookie” is celebrating a big anniversary with the 100th episode. You can’t just look forward to the beautiful wedding of John Nolan and Bailey Nune in episode 2 of season 6. There’s also a lot of tension between Tim and Lucy after they resolve their argument from the season premiere the police way.

There was a crisis between the two because Lucy accused her ex-instructor and now romantic partner of not supporting her in her efforts to become an undercover police officer. Now Tim wants to prove to her that he doesn’t transfer his old worries from his broken marriage with the undercover police officer Isabel onto Lucy. He organizes a lie detector test in which Lucy can ask him anything she wants.
So it naturally happens that Lucy asks Tim if he loves her. He says yes. But when Lucy asks him if he has a problem with her wanting to become an undercover detective, the lie detector goes off. He realizes that he really has a problem. Later at the wedding, Tim speaks well to Lucy. His baggage from previous relationships shouldn’t stop Lucy from living her dreams. Both want to work on it.
But there is another couple that comes into focus at John and Bailey’s wedding. To the surprise of the audience, Aaron Thorsen tries his luck with colleague Celina Juarez. The two were friends before and have grown even closer after the life-threatening attack in the season 5 finale. Aaron tries to kiss Celina, but she rejects him.
So without further ado, Aaron decides to get drunk. A fatal mistake, because the evening will be dangerous for Celina. She and Nyla Harper are kidnapped by a dangerous heroin dealer who they have been tracking for some time. As drunk as he is, Aaron can’t help save his colleagues.
However, Aaron is generally not quite ready to return to police work. After the attack on him, he has to struggle with the consequences both physically and mentally
