While fans of the brand lamented the abandonment of the rotary dial by Samsung on its latest connected watches, the manufacturer could backtrack. As one insider suggests, the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro could come with a physical rotating bezel. This would not a priori be the case for the basic model.
According to information from leaker SuperRoader on YouTube – via SamMobile, the rotating bezel could return to the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro expected for this summer. A return awaited by Samsung fans for two years.
A big return to the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro
The rotating bezel or rotating bezel is a kind of physical button surrounding the screen of a connected watch. Like the crown that can be found on other models, such as the Apple Watch, this allows you to do several things. On the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, for example, you could change the brightness, wake up the screen, or simply navigate through the interface.
SuperRoader indicated in a video posted on YouTube that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Pro would be entitled to a rotating ring. However, the basic model would not be entitled to it. This could be explained by the fact that the Galaxy Watch 6 would have a curved screen, which makes it difficult to integrate such a physical device.
The end of the rotating bezel on Samsung connected watches
Since the Galaxy Watch 4, the base model no longer had a rotating bezel on Samsung connected watches. In 2021, only the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic was entitled to this very practical system. The manufacturer went further last year since neither the Galaxy Watch 5 nor the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro were equipped with it. He had swapped this physical system for operation by tactile navigation.
Other leaks are already teasing potential details of Samsung’s next generation of smartwatches. The batteries of this one have passed the certifications in South Korea and it seems that they will benefit from a greater capacity. What give hope for better autonomy.
