The Rumble Fish: the fighting game will return to consoles

The press release that accompanies the announcement is not very precise on the platforms concerned (what about the PC?) As on the release date, without even mentioning the content of the program. Given that the illustrations like the publisher 3goo highlight the first port ever made for The Rumble Fish 2, a sequel never released elsewhere than in the arcade, we can believe that the two parts of this diptych are concerned by this restoration.

Originally developed by Dimps, a studio that would earn its acclaim a few years later with Street Fighter IV, the title was distinguished by its easy-going 2D, well supported by a technique called SMA, for Smooth Model Animationand his gameplay quite nervous around chain combos. The presence of two gauges, one dedicated to offensive maneuvers, the other to defense, also appealed to players of the time, especially those who had discovered it via its PS2 port published by SEGA, in collaboration with Sammy .
