Factory Festival, Kaleidoscope Festival, Am I Jazz? Festival…) and other structures of the burgeoning Ukrainian electronic scene called on the international cultural world and the different musical communities to “ act together against Russian aggression “. Among their demands, a call for a boycott of Russian artists and producers who do not clearly commit themselves against the actions of their government.
“ We, representatives of the music community, see the actions of Russian promoters, DJs and artists, who continue to organize events and play, while the army of their country bombards our cities, insists the tribune. We also observe how our Russian colleagues, in particular the most popular internationally, feel little concerned and pretend not to see what is happening. ». In conclusion, the collective urges the music community to “cancel all cooperation with Russian artists, producers, clubs, organizations, which do not actively resist the actions of their government and do not engage in stopping the Russian military invasion of Ukraine”.
