The Samsung Galaxy A15 passes one of the last stages before its launch

As at the end of almost every year, Samsung’s next affordable smartphone is starting to get people talking. And as it stands, the future Galaxy A15 5G should not take long to materialize, since it has now been certified by two different regulators.

Recently appearing in the listings of the American retail giant Walmart, the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G continues its merry way in times of “pre-market“. We learned this week from MySmartPrice that the device has been certified by two different regulatory bodies: the Bluetooth SIG on the one hand (which also certified its fake twin, the Galaxy A15 4G), and the IMDA of the other (Singaporean regulator).

This step suggests that the device, in both 5G and 4G versions, is in the final stretch before its launch, expected at the start of next year at a price which should approach 250 euros for the 5G variant. Just as interesting, these different certifications and this listing in the United States allow us to draw up a relatively precise sketch of Samsung’s next entry-level smartphone.

Galaxy A15 5G: a good equipment/price ratio?

Direct replacement for the passable Galaxy A14 5G, launched a few months ago, the Galaxy A15 5G should be equipped with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ screen, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage space and a 50 Mpx main camera. According to certain sources, the device would also move to an AMOLED panel and could also count on a 13 Mpx selfie sensor, a 5 Mpx ultra wide-angle module and a 2 Mpx macro sensor.

According to Bluetooth SIG records, the Galaxy A15 5G will also be equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, while IMDA also points to support for NFC technology. The device would be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, powered by a 5,000 mAh battery (with 25W fast charging), and powered by Android 14 out of the box. We finally learn that the 4G version of the Galaxy A15 would be limited to a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, which is less fast.
