The waltz of software updates continues for all smartphone manufacturers: Samsung is no exception and offers the update to One UI 4.1 even on its slightly older models, the Galaxy Note 10 and S10.
In January, the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 series received the update to One UI 4.0, based on Android 12. Samsung is now rolling out 4.1, a slight evolution of One UI 4, which additionally contains the security patch of the March. The Galaxy S10, S10e, S10 Plus, Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, but also the 5G versions of these models, are affected. Indeed, Samsung is pushing the update even to devices that are now three years old. According to SamMobilethe deployment would have started in Europe, first in Switzerland.
One UI 4.1: what’s new
It brings interesting new features to Galaxy smartphones. These include Google Duo Live Sharing, Smart Widgets, or a new version of the Samsung keyboard. Samsung has also added photo editing functions, starting with the Reflection Eraser and the Shadow Eraser, which remove unwanted reflections and shadows from an image. We will also mention the possibility of sharing Wi-Fi credentials via Quick Share, or improvements to the Samsung Health app. On the camera side, the rendering of portraits in low light has been improved.
This update to One UI 4.1 integrates the March Android security patch which aims to fix bugs. If you have one of these models, you can manually check if the update is available by going to your settings, then to Software update.
