Get out your calendars, we now have a date for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024. We take a look at the expected announcements.
Long gone are the days when Samsung presented its Galaxy Note at IFA in September. Now, the Korean giant is holding its own dedicated event in the heart of summer, far from any competition. The second Galaxy Unpacked of the year therefore generally takes place during the month of July.
Evan Blass, famous leaker also known under the pseudonym “evleaks”, claims to know the date of this high mass! This second Galaxy Unpacked 2024 (the first being that of the Galaxy S24) should take place July 10, 2024at 10 p.m. KST (Korean time), which corresponds to 15 hours in France.
What products will be revealed at Galaxy Unpacked?
This conference promises to be particularly interesting since we should discover at least seven new products there. Yes, you read that right, SEVEN! Suffice to say that July 10 will be rather busy.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6
Unsurprisingly, we expect Samsung to unveil its new generation of foldable smartphones, starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This should take the design of its predecessor, with flat edges, like the Galaxy S24. The screens could, however, change format to adopt a ratio closer to that of a normal smartphone for the external and closer to the square for the internal.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6
Samsung’s real favorite is the Galaxy Z Flip 6, the little gem that closes like a powder compact. Here too, we expect particularly flat edges, but with a little more thickness. We hope that this will be used to include a larger battery, but also enough to properly cool its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The Galaxy Watch 7
Side ” accessories»wearables, Samsung also has something heavy up its sleeve, starting with the traditional Galaxy Watch 7, available in two different sizes: 40 and 44 mm. In terms of new features, we especially expect a more efficient and therefore less energy-intensive chip, but also sapphire glass protection for the screen.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra
Just like Apple, Samsung could take advantage of this event to launch a new line of watches: the Galaxy Watch Ultra. More massive, more autonomous, better protected… We expect ultra premium.
The Galaxy Ring
Teased at the start of the year, the Galaxy Ring has still not been officially detailed. This connected ring has been in Samsung’s pipeline for a while and will soon compete with the big names of the genre.
The Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro
Finally, Samsung should renew its headphones and, surprise, they should change shape. Exit the “bean” format, hello the “AirPods” format with a stem. But the expected changes are not just aesthetic. Active noise reduction, high definition compatibility (24 bits 96 kHz), spatial audio, IP67 waterproofing, automatic switching between different sources and a double transducer for the Pro model… suffice to say that they look rather interesting on paper.
