It’s in two weeks that Samsung will unveil the new Galaxy Z Flip 4. But we can already admire the small folding smartphone from every angle.
At the rate things are going, Samsung will soon have nothing left to show at its Unpacked event, which will take place on August 10th. We will discover in particular the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, two folding smartphones which should not however be too different from their predecessors.
It is the second that interests us today. Official photos of the mobile have indeed leaked on the web, the famous leaker OnLeaks (in partnership with the GizNext site) having unearthed them. The opportunity to discover the four colors available: blue, pink gold, purple, and black.

The panel used seems to be the same as on the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which is good news, because the latter had convinced us. We should therefore be entitled to a 6.7-inch folding Amoled panel displaying in Full HD + (2640 x 1080 pixels) and offering an image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The external Amoled screen would measure 2.1 inches, slightly more than the previous model (1.9 inches).
The set should be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, supposed to be Qualcomm’s most efficient SoC. Everything would be coupled with at least 8 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. So there should be no problem for heavy multitasking or gaming. It will run on Android 12 and the OneUI 4 home interface.
In photos, we will be entitled to a similar configuration consisting of a dual sensor (wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle module) of 12 Mpx at the rear, as well as a 10 Mpx sensor at the front for selfies . Whether the overall quality has improved remains to be seen.
Progress in autonomy?
The mystery still hangs over the size of the battery. Information far from trivial, insofar as autonomy was one of the weak points of the device. It could carry a 3400 or 3700 mAh battery compatible with wired charging at 25 W and wireless charging at 10 W.
It is hoped that the SoC change will have a significant impact on the general endurance of the terminal. Without a real change on that side, this Z Flip 4 would then look like a timid update.
As indicated previously, the tariff should be revised upwards. The mobile could be sold for 1079 € in Europe in its 8/128 GB version. A high price, which could put it in competition with traditional devices of excellent quality.
