All the Samsung smartphones are not equal in photography. The Galaxy S21 Ultra and the latest Galaxy S22 are notably equipped with a unique application, which makes it possible to photograph in RAW format. An application which arrives today on the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The aptly named Expert RAW continues to deploy in the brand’s range, starting with its famous folding smartphone.

A “professional” application

Arrived on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 on the occasion of the release of its latest version 1.0.02.6, the Expert RAW application unlocks, so to speak, the manual mode of the camera of compatible smartphones.

As other third-party applications already allow, Expert RAW allows you to capture photos in RAW format. A much heavier format than a simple JPG, which retains all the image information to allow finer processing in photo editing software.

In the release notes of Expert RAW, we learn that the application is now more responsive to process photos taken in low light environments.

As noted by the specialized site Sam-Mobile, the arrival of Expert RAW on the Fold 3 confirms the brand’s intention to deploy it more widely on its devices. But, in the meantime, you can always refer to Real Tone, the latest technology from Google to improve the rendering of your photos.
