The season starts in April
The ADAC’s popular sport rally series becomes part of the DRM
Great news for the drivers and teams of the ADAC Rallye Masters: The popular ADAC mass sport rally series will be upgraded and will be part of the German Rally Championship (DRM) from the coming season. In the future, the active players will fight in the DRM in a total of four ratings. The DRM comprises seven stations in 2022 and begins on 22/23. April with the ADAC Rallye Erzgebirge.
In the “DRM”, the top league of German rallying, the drivers of powerful Rally2 vehicles will continue to fight for overall victory and promotion to international rallying in 2022. The new “DRM2” is the rating for 2WD vehicles with a driven axle and combines the FIA classes RC3 to RC5. In the “DRM Classic”, drivers and teams with historic vehicles are looking for their winners.
The national classes NC1 to NC9 compete against each other in the new classification “DRM Nationals”. The “DRM Nationals” replace the ADAC Rallye Masters, which will no longer be advertised from the 2022 season. The rating at the “DRM Nationals” corresponds to that of the ADAC Rallye Masters. Participants fight for points in their classes and collect counters in the overall standings across all classes. In addition, there will be an ADAC special classification “Gentlemen Trophy” for older RC2 and Super 2000 rally vehicles. With the “Junior Challenge”, young talents receive their own special rating from the ADAC.
