Starring faces of “Plus belle la vie” and “Tomorrow belongs to us”, Elodie Varlet and Samy Gharbi will star in the France 3 detective film “Le Secret de la cave”, which will start filming tomorrow.
While the Plus belle la vie adventure, in which she plays Estelle Cantorel, will end on November 18, Elodie Varlet is not idle and will start filming tomorrow for a new unit for France 3 entitled The Secret of the cave.
The opportunity for the actress, who will lend her features to an investigator from the research section, to give the answer to another face well known to fans of daily soap operas since the other main role of the TV movie will be held by Samy Gharbi, who has been camping since 2017 Karim Saaed in Tomorrow belongs to us.
Directed by Christelle Raynal (Clem, The Art of Crime) and written by Florence Philipponnat (I married a murderer) and Olivier Berclaz (Les Bois maudits), The Secret of the Cave begins when a local figure is found murdered on the banks of the Ardèche river by young kayakers, in the town of Vallon-Pont-d’Arc.
The murder weapon is a carved stone dating back more than 40,000 years, a period corresponding to the presence of men in the rock cave of the Region. Gendarmerie Captain Riad Lekcir, in charge of the investigation, must team up with his counterpart in the research section, Manon Ferret-Duval. A collaboration that does not delight him at all because a painful past binds them.
In December 1994, parallel to the discovery of this cave, Kamel, the older brother of Riad, was arrested, accused of having killed the parents of Manon (who was 8 years old at the time). Kamel committed suicide in police custody, seeing his alibi collapse. Our investigators will have to put aside this heavy past in order to carry out this investigation which will finally establish a link between these two murders perpetrated 30 years apart.

Alongside Elodie Varlet and Samy Gharbi, Franck Adrien, Serge Riaboukine, Catherine Davenier, Guillaume Bouchede, Baya Belal, Slimane Benaïssa, Eric Savin, Carole Richert, Anne Girouard, and Lilou Siauvaud complete the cast of this TV movie with an effective pitch .
The filming of the Secret of the cave, produced by Guillaume Bernard and Charles Bernard (Adrenaline), will begin this Wednesday, October 19 and will continue until November 16 in Ardèche, in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc.
And one thing is certain: after the recent start of work on Murder in Béarn, with Catherine Marchal, Murders on the Flowery Coast, carried by Marie-Christine Barrault and Nicolas Gob, or even Murders in Chantilly led by Elodie Frenck, Bruno Todeschini and Hippolyte Girardot, the thrillers continue more than ever to make the beautiful days of France 3.
