the sequel to this beloved game finally announced, fans overjoyed

Warhammer games and video games are obviously a story that will never end. We therefore have the right to a new creation, more precisely a sequel to a fairly popular game.

Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2018 strategy game, was announced during Games Workshop’s Skulls showcase. This new opus promises to expand the game mechanics established in the first episode while introducing new possibilities and factions. Yes, Warhammer games come out all the time. It’s not just an impression.

A Warhammer 40K Mechanicus 2 is coming

While the first Mechanicus focused on followers of the Adeptus Mechanicus tech cult exploring Necron tombs, Mechanicus 2 now allows players to play as the Necrons themselves. Players will be able to defend their world against the Imperium’s invaders and cleanse their planet’s surface of Imperial influence. Pretty cool idea, right?

The game’s plot focuses on Magos Dominus Faustinius, protagonist of the first game, who responds to a distress call from an Adeptus Mechanicus colony. This colony accidentally awakened a necron tomb, triggering a series of dangerous events. Additionally, outside forces even more deadly than the Necrons could also come into play, hinting at the possible intervention of the Chaos Gods.

Mechanicus 2 promises to enrich the gaming experience with several new features. Players will now be able to manage garrisons in their territory and benefit from an expanded selection of fighters from the different Warhammer 40k factions. Destructible terrain adds an extra tactical dimension, allowing players to take advantage of the environment strategically.

The excellent script by Ben Counter, author of Warhammer 40k books, and the immersive soundtrack by Guillaume David, which contributed to the success of the first game, return for this sequel. Their involvement guarantees quality continuity in the narrative and soundscape of the game.
