He does not hesitate to make threats, and from what we could see, our heroine would not take long to intervene. And indeed, that’s what she does in the new scene that we can enjoy now.
The Ghoul has clearly gone on the attack, and Lucy, the protagonist, arrives to ask him to leave them alone. A monologue follows where she describes the situation in a rather unusual way, before inviting him to lay down his arms. An unparalleled talent for persuasion, which clearly shows that charisma has not been increased. She still tries to shoot him, but her weapon is not very effective. Fortunately, she is rescued by a member of the Brotherhood of Steel who orders the attacker to stop. The extract is quite convincing, and makes you want to see more.

She will finally see the light of day when she is given a mission that requires her to go to the surface. She will then encounter a post-apocalyptic world well known to fans of the license.
