The Settlers has finally found a release date and offers a closed beta

The remake of The Settlers, Ubisoft’s cult city builder, had already been announced for a few months (even a few years now) and we now have a release date. The real-time strategy game series had not had a new title since 2011 with The Settlers Online, besides the compilation of all the titles of the series some time ago already with The Settlers History Collection. But the series rises from its ashes, and it’s on March 17th that we will be able to get our hands on the next one The Settlers.

A beta for the lucky ones

Following the official release date announcement, Ubisoft clarified thata closed beta would also be available for anyone wanting to touch the game in preview, then we advise you to go for it. This beta will be available on January 20 with very restricted access and you can already register on the official Ubisoft website.

Also, the youtube channel Ubisoft North America unveiled a brand new trailer, showing us the game at its best. You can choose between three new factions at the start of the game, each with its own gameplay. The idea is clear: you will have to explore, cultivate, and build the most powerful empire. You can even train thieves to try to recover the resources of your enemies, enough to have fun online.

The Settlers looks to be one of the most promising next city building games of this year 2022. Everything looks particularly beautiful, and it will be necessary to see in game if all this is really real. This will be checked on March 17, on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.
