Android Headlines has reportedly got its hands on several clues referring to a Galaxy Watch FE (Fan Edition), which could make up the new 2024 batch of Samsung connected watches.
While Samsung would be tempted to bring square screens up to date on its next generation of connected watches, several clues recently revealed by Android Headlines highlight a brand new new model: a Galaxy Watch FE (Fan Edition), which would join the three Galaxy Watch 7s expected in the coming months.
As a reminder, Samsung FE-branded devices aim to offer a relatively high-end experience, all at a lower price thanks to a few small concessions made here and there. Here, we must therefore imagine a connected watch that is more affordable than the most affordable of the future Watch 7s.
Several clusters of clues
Android Headlines would have in any case got its hands on a document revealing three model numbers, each belonging to a different market: SM-R866F (international), SM-R866U (USA) and SM-R866N (Korea). This famous Galaxy Watch SE could also correspond to the model mentioned on February 1 by a certain Roland Quandt.
At the time, the leaker sent a message on (ex-Twitter) according to which we should not be surprised if a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) appeared this year. Clearly, Samsung could market a new improved version of its Galaxy Watch 4. Does it correspond to the famous Galaxy Watch FE? The question is legitimate.
A future competitor to the Apple Watch SE?
It is still appropriate to welcome these elements with a grain of salt until the Korean giant has officially communicated on it. Remember, however, that the least expensive Galaxy Watch 6 (Bluetooth, 40 mm) is sold for 319 euros.
Can we then hope for a Galaxy Watch FE launched below 300 euros and compete with a certain Apple Watch SE, available from 279 euros. One thing is certain: we can’t wait to know the end of this story.
