The Silvercrest food processor again at Lidl for less than €50

Lidl is doing it again by offering for sale, next Thursday, its Silvercrest pastry robot. Available for less than €50, the device adopts the German distributor’s “low prices” policy; enough to overshadow certain competitors.

This is what Lidl knows how to do best: attract regulars and new customers thanks to unbeatable prices. On August 4, the German distributor hopes to seduce consumers with the Silvercrest pastry robot. And the sign hits hard since the device is offered below the 50 € mark. For comparison, it is the Proline RP11 which displays the lowest price of our comparison, with a price of 70 €.

But floor price does not necessarily mean robot at a discount. At first glance, the Silvercrest has the essential qualities of a good pastry chef. It comes with a traditional baking kit consisting of a whisk, a kneader and a flat beater. Associated with the 5 l bowl, the accessories should be able to make large preparations. We still have a doubt about the shape of the whip, which seems less ample than that of some competitors.

If the power should not be interpreted alone, but coupled with the motorization and the architecture of the robot, it nevertheless seems weak. It actually only reaches 650 W. The Lidl device has eight speeds to best adapt to the recipe made. Finally, an anti-splash cover is supplied with the stand mixer to prevent any overflow.
