The Simpsons: Homer Provides 50 Reasons Against Electing Donald Trump

Does Donald Trump have to be voted out of office? Yes, find "The Simpsons" and deliver a mixture of 50 serious and funny reasons.

That "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening (66) is not a fan of the incumbent US President Donald Trump (74), he has already announced on numerous occasions about his yellow residents of Springfield. In the upcoming Halloween episode "Treehouse of Horror XXXI", which will premiere on October 18 on Fox, 50 reasons are listed why Trump should not get a second term under any circumstances.

In the special episode, Marge reminds the head of the family to cast his vote – and Homer makes it to the polling station just in time. But when he is supposed to tick the cross, he seems to have a hard time choosing a president. Daughter Lisa can hardly believe this in view of the events of the past four years.

Bleach, Tim Apple and Meryl Streep

Homer then makes use of his sparse gray brain cells and a list of Trump's 50 most drastic and sometimes bizarre misconduct flickers across the screen. Fast readers can read things like "Call Mexicans rapists", "Impersonate reporters with disabilities", "Call third world countries 'assholes'" or "Refuse to file tax returns". And Homer also remembers that during the corona pandemic he "advised people to swallow bleach".

Less serious criticisms that Trump, according to the "Simpsons", denied qualification as US President: "Called Tim Cook 'Tim Apple'", "Can't get his wife to hold hands", "Described Meryl Streep as overrated" or "Bragged about knowing the date". The 50th and final reason for voting Trump from the White House on November 3rd: "Those weren't even the worst things."
