If it has made some players happy, it has however caused concern among others since EA has put new rules in place.
An update is causing panic among Sims 4 players
What seems like a good thing for some players is a real cold shower for others! If you are a SIMs 4 player, you are aware that you have the possibility of putting a lot of mods in your game, in order to customize your houses or your characters to the millimeter. If some downloadable content is completely free, some modders were selling their creations, and sometimes at quite exorbitant prices, but since the last update of the game, it is now over. They no longer have the right to sell anything, either through Patreon or even through the early access system that allowed players to take advantage of their new creations in advance.
Otherwise, EA has also prohibited the use of logos and other trademarks such as Nike, Puma or Lacoste (for example). No more chic outfits from big brands!
However, what is most disturbing here is obviously the fact that modders can no longer sell their content. As we told you a little earlier, although some abused the prices, others literally lived off it, which means that today they no longer have resources, such as JellyPaws for example…
The false good idea?
However, as the saying goes, “the misfortune of some is the happiness of others“, even if it is sometimes quite horrible. But despite everything, players can now take full advantage of all the mods available and this, completely free of charge, and as we told you, some prices were excessive, and the community did not not hesitate to point the finger at the modders who were abusing because, according to her, these new rules put in place are entirely their fault.
Do not forget that the various expansions and official packs of The Sims 4 are all paying (we have a nice article that tells you the total amount to pay if you want to offer everything), and the money spent in these, in addition to the mods sometimes going to high prices, began to make a hell of a sum for some.
